The Internet can be a dangerous place for unsuspecting surfers. Make your web browsing experience safer through awareness of current threats.

Fake Antivirus
Includes "Antivirus XP" "Antivirus 2008/2009" "Antivirus 360" and many others.
This insideous trojan masquerades as an antivirus product and falsely reports a rampant infection of nearly five thousand trojans. This trojan also downloads other malware, logs and uploads personal information, and installs back door software to allow a hacker or script to remotely control system activities. This can also be exploited to send spam email messages and turn the system into a bot 'zombie'.
If your computer is infected with one of these fake antivirus applications, try MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware (link in Free Helpful Essentials) with updated definitions patterns to remove it.
